Chinese Aster 'Valkyrie Yellow'
Callistephus chinensis

The palm-sized flowers of this striking variety are unreal. The pale cream petals are long and pointed like stars in the night sky, and the center petal swirls as the flower opens. These beautiful and durable flowers hold up well in the garden and in vases on long, sturdy stems. A must for late summer and fall bouquets.

How to plant:
Start seeds indoors in trays 6-8 weeks before last frost; transplant after all danger of frost has passed.

Harvest/Vase Life:
Harvest when the outer petals on the flowers begin to open. The leaves are stripped from the lower half of the stem and placed in water immediately after harvest. With flower food, expect the vase to live up to 2 weeks.
