🌹How to care?
  • 1. Desert rose likes a sunny, well-ventilated and dry environment. 
  • 2. It is very drought-resistant and not waterlogged. Watering should follow the principle of watering thoroughly when it is dry. Its fat belly is rich in water. Before each watering, make sure that the pot soil is completely dry before watering. As long as you are lazy enough, it can live well!
  • 3. Desert rose likes sandy soil that is rich in calcium, loose and breathable, and well-drained.

🌹Special precautions:
The flowerpot of desert rose should be selected with good air permeability. It has fleshy roots and is very drought-resistant. If the soil is too wet, the roots will rot easily.

🌹How to plant?

  • 1. Fill a seed tray with high-quality seeding compost or make your own soil by mixing together equal parts coarse sand, peat moss, and potting mix.
  • 2. Firm the growing medium in the tray with the back of a spoon, a small piece of wood, or the bottom of a small flower pot.
  • 3. Place the seeds on the surface of the growing medium so that there are about 5 to 7 seeds per pot. Use your fingers to push the seeds firmly into the soil.

  • 4. Cover the desert rose seeds with no more than 1/3 inch of growing medium and spray the top layer of soil thoroughly.
  • 5. Move the seedling tray to a sunny part of your home that gets 4 to 8 hours of filtered light per day. Spray water on the growing medium to keep it moist, but not too wet. Desert rose seeds will begin to germinate in 7 to 10 days.
  • 6. Prepare to transplant the seedlings when they have 4-6 true leaves and are at least one month old.
  • 7. Use a small shovel to dig the seedlings out of the seedling tray.
